Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT)

This is about 30 minutes drive from Dolgoch and is an educational centre made fun!  There are many hands-on activities for all ages and in the peak months you enter via a water powered cliff side railway.  There’s the opportunity to stand by a massive wind turbine blade, explore energy efficient houses and walk alongside old quarry workings.  This is a large site and includes a children’s play area as well as plenty of information about the field of alternative technology and how we can better protect our planet.  Find out more on their website.
